The Environmental Community Health Organisation (ECHO) extends congratulations to President Bharrat Jagdeo on being one of the recipients of the 2010 Champion of the Earth award.

In a press release, ECHO said Jagdeo’s demonstrated leadership in the area of climate change reflects the seriousness and urgency with which he views this phenomenon. ECHO said it is confident that the President’s leadership and strong advocacy would continue to ensure the protection of the environment.
