The man killed in an accident at Parika, East Bank Essequibo on Saturday has been identified as 29-year-old Rohan Ramshu of Parika Façade.
Police said yesterday that investigations are continuing into the incident.
According to reports around 10:30 hrs the driver of motor car HB 5752 was proceeding along the roadway when it is alleged that Ramdhu attempted to cross the road and was struck down. He was taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital and then transferred to the Georgetown Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
