The Preliminary Inquiry into an allegation of carnal knowledge by Colwyn King of a girl under the age of 15 continued yesterday before Magistrate Fazil Azeez at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
On this occasion, the virtual complainant in the matter began her testimony and it is expected that she will continue to give evidence when the matter continues on June 2.
King, the former president of the Guyana Teachers’ Union (GTU), allegedly had carnal knowledge of the girl on October 7. On November 13, he was granted bail in the sum of $250,000 by Magistrate Azeez.
