Three-way smash-up injures two motorcycle pillion riders

Police have detained a minibus driver following a three way smash-up on Dennis Street last night which left two women injured.

The accident reportedly occurred some time after 8 pm at Dennis Street, Sophia. Reports are that the minibus driver lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a motorcycle, hitting the pillion rider off the cycle. The bus did not come to halt immediately and ended up running into another motorcycle, which resulted in that pillion rider being thrown off as well.

The two injured women were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital nursing various injuries. Relatives who turned up at the hospital declined to share any details on the accident saying merely that the women were Tessa and Rhonda.
