The Ministry of Health is dispatching a team of 12 ‘roving doctors’ to the Mabaruma Regional Hospital on Saturday to serve residents of the various Region One communities.

According to a Government Information Agency (GINA) press release this visit is a follow-up to one hosted three weeks ago. Minister within the Ministry of Health Dr Bheri Ramsaran said most of the doctors are from within the private sector.

They are doctors Fawcett Jeffrey, Shoba and Neville Gobin, George Norton, Patricia Singh, Sheik Amir, Vanessa King, S. Kumar, Shondell Atherly, Colleen Weeks and Nadede Rodney.

The team would be providing services in dentistry, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, X- ray, general surgery, internal medicine, radiography, and ophthalmology.
