Bullet grazes woman during Kaneville robbery

A 21-year-old woman was this morning treated at the Diamond Health Centre for a graze from a bullet during a robbery at Kaneville, East Bank Demerara.

Police today said that Linda King, 21, was treated and sent away.

Shortly before she was injured, police said, two men armed with a handgun robbed Michelle Menair, age 41 years, of $475,000 at Section ‘A’ Kaneville. This occurred at 1 am today.

Police said the bandits then went to her mother’s home; a one flat house which is at the back of the yard where they broke down a door and confronted Eugene Walters, age 72 years and his relative , King. They demanded more booty but came up empty handed. During the process they discharged two rounds one of which grazed King.
