The police today said that they received a report yesterday that on Thursday logger Cleveland Hetemeyer of Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, was shot and killed during an armed robbery about 90 miles up the Canje River, Berbice.
The police said it was reported that Hetemeyer along with three other workers were approached by two armed suspects who demanded their boat and engine. Hetemeyer refused and was shot,
