The City Treasurer has been sent on leave pending an investigation into an allegation of demanding kickbacks from a debt collector for RRT Enterprises.
Contacted yesterday, Local Government Minister Kellawan Lall said he had ordered an investigation into the matter following a complaint which was made to him. He said he has asked his Permanent Secretary and Keith Burrowes,
