-five held for questioning
Armed bandits on Tuesday evening robbed an overseas-based Guyanese couple of almost $2M in cash and jewellery and police yesterday detained five persons to assist in the investigations.
Thakur Dyal Ramphal and his wife Drupattie Ramphal were at their Number 60 Village, Corentyne home when they were attacked and robbed by two men who were armed with a handgun and cutlasses, the police said in a press statement.
