Chateau Margot shooting victim recovering

Seventy-two-year-old Daniel Muller continues to recover in the Georgetown Public Hospital a week after he was shot by fleeing bandits who had attempted to rob a Chateau Margot business and killed the owner.  Yesterday Muller said he was feeling a lot better but pointed out that there was a little swelling to the arm where he was shot. He was awaiting a doctor to examine it, he said. Muller was shot in the upper right arm.

On November 17, Muller had gone to the La Bonne Intention Dispensary to have his blood pressure tested. After he was told that his blood pressure was normal the man was making his way back to his Success Housing Scheme home when he was shot.  Six men had attempted to rob L&D Shopping Centre and in the process the owner Dennis Ramah was shot twice and died. A community policing group member, 51- year-old Davenand Shyamraj, was also shot. Two of the perpetrators were caught by the police while a third perpetrator was shot to death. Two of the six alleged robbers have since made a court appearance charged with the murder of Dennis Ramah.
