Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred last night at Johanna South, Black Bush Polder, Berbice, during which housewife Hansrani Daly was attacked and robbed by two men armed with a firearm and a cutlass.
Investigations revealed that Hansrani Daly and her husband were at home around 11.30 pm when the two perpetrators entered the home after removing several louvre panes. They then confronted Daly during which she was assaulted about her body with the cutlass and robbed of $58,000. The attackers then escaped.
