A Black Bush Polder, Berbice family was robbed by two armed men on Thursday night, police said.
The incident occurred at 11:30pm on Thursday night at Johanna South, Black Bush Polder, Berbice.
Housewife, Hansrani Daly was attacked and robbed by two men armed with a firearm and a cutlass, police said in a statement. $58 000 was taken.
The statement said that investigations revealed that Daly and her husband were at home when the two perpetrators entered the home after removing several louver window panes. They then confronted Daly after her husband ran out of the house. Daly was assaulted about her body with the cutlass and robbed of $58 000 after which the men escaped, the police said.
