A Plaisance, East Coast Demerara businessman was robbed and beaten just before 10 last night by three armed men, the police say.
Stabroek News was told today that Clifford Zammett, who operates a small business that sells purified water and other items, was confronted by the bandits all of whom were armed with guns. Zammett, who resides at Prince William Street, was dealt a sound beating by the men who escaped with just under $5,000, a lap top and an I pad. Police responded promptly to the incident and have arrested one person.
