An Essequibo woman is in custody for the Christmas Day murder of her 60-year-old husband, according to a police report.
The dead man is Dennis Braithwaite of Lima, Essequibo Coast.
According to the police, investigations revealed Braithwaite and his reputed wife had a domestic misunderstanding during which she allegedly stabbed him to his chest around 9 pm.
He was pronounced DOA at the Suddie Hospital.
The police say they have recovered a knife believed to have been used in the killing while the woman is assisting their investigation.
