Guytrac lands multi-million dollar Hyundai deal

Guyana Tractor and Equipment (Guytrac) has secured a multi-million-dollar dealership with international heavy-duty equipment manufacturers Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas Inc.

Guytrac’s Managing Director Shamnarine Narine signed an agreement with the Korea-based company’s Sales Manager Jacky Kim on Monday, a statement from the local company said.

It said that over the past 12 months—it’s first year of operation—Guytrac has been able to set a Hyundai record on this side of the world by selling the most (75) machines by a dealer. Guytrac has also already confirmed orders for almost 30 machines due to arrive within the first two months of next year, guaranteeing an increase in sales of more than 100% in 2011. Guytrac is a family-owned business that also offers complete Spare Parts support and after-sales service for Hyundai customers. The company has already secured dealership contracts with Italian Spare Parts giant Roter S.p.A and is about to establish similar agreements with tractor manufacturer Argo Tractors S.p.A and combine manufacturer Laverda S.p.A.
