The police today said they are investigating a murder of a labourer last night in the Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara.
According to a police press release, Ravindra Sookhoo, 24, of Belle Vue, West Bank Demarara was killed around 19:00 hrs.
The release said Sookhoo and another man were imbibing during which an argument developed between them and he was allegedly stabbed to his body.
He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).
The suspect has not been arrested as yet.
