Mosquito fogging exercise continues in city

The Mayor and City Council has recommenced its anti-mosquito campaign which began on Monday and will conclude on June 15.

According to a release from the M&CC, fogging will be conducted between the hours of 6 pm to 9 pm.

Today, fogging will be done in Kingston, Non Pariel Park and on Monday in Queenstown and Alberttown. On June 8 and 9 the exercise will be conducted in North and South Cummingsburg, Rahaman’s Park, Meadow Bank and Houston.

The fogging will move on to Mc Doom and Agricola on June 10 and 11 and will conclude on June 14 and 15 at Cummings Lodge, Turkeyen, Pattensen and Liliendaal.

Persons are asked to open their doors and windows when the fogging squad passes through their area. However, the M&CC warns that all food, dishes, aquarium, fish tanks and bird cages be covered and flames extinguished.

Persons are also being asked to stay away from open windows and doors and not follow the fogging squad from house to house.

Subryanville, Campbellville, Bel Air Springs, Bel Air Gardens, Bel Air, Bel Voir Court, New Haven, Prashad Nagar, Blygezight and Lamaha Gardens were fogged between Tuesday and yesterday.
