Guard allegedly caught on camera stealing

The security guard who was allegedly caught on camera stealing from his employers, Gizmos and Gadgets, was remanded when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday charged with simple larceny.

Carlos Pharell

Carlos Pharell was not required to plead when the indictable charge was read to him.  It is alleged that on August 21 he stole four digital cameras and other items valued at $301,442, being the property of the electronics store.

Police Prosecutor Stephen Telford made an application for Pharell to be remanded to prison and the matter be put down for September 30 for report.  His application was then granted by the magistrate.
