Lynch faces fresh charge for husband’s murder

Carolan Lynch’s attorney last evening confirmed that police have re-filed a murder charge against her for the death of her husband Farouk Razac, the former boss of Swiss House Cambio.

Nigel Hughes said Lynch had not been arrested and as far as he was aware no warrant was issued for her detention. Hughes said Lynch had not been notified of the charge but he noted that she may appear in court on Monday.

Lynch, who had previously been charged with Razac’s murder, was freed in 2008, after then Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys ruled that he found no prima facie case against her and discharged the matter.

She had been charged in May 2007, after Razac was found dead on the floor of their Eping Avenue, Bel Air home. There was evidence he had bled through his nose and mouth and his hands were at his neck. An autopsy later confirmed that he had been strangled.
