Trade union leaders should forget differences and concentrate on a common approach

Dear Editor,

I am calling on the trade union leaders of both the GTUC and FITUG to forget their differences and focus on a common approach to defending workers’ rights, as in ‘United we stand, divided we fall.’ The time has come for the trade unions to move in a new direction. We must embrace a new era of engagement based on mutual interest and mutual respect, and our work must begin now.

Yours faithfully,
