Is it done yet? In February Government, in collaboration with the IDB, started phase two of the Transport Infrastructure Rehabilitation Programme, which will see the rehabilitation and building of 25 bridges and culverts from Timehri to Rosignol. The contracts have been awarded to Courtney Benn Contracting Services Ltd, R Bassoo and Sons Construction Company, and BK International and all works are expected to be concluded at the end of this year. The Little Diamond bridge/culvert seen in this Jules Gibson photo has been under construction since the beginning of phase two and residents, inconvenienced because of traffic congestion, had expected it to be completed by now.
