MYO tapeball competition begins today

The Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) of Guyana will start the ball rolling in this new year with their Inter-Jamaat 10 overs tapeball round robin cricket competition.

The competition, which begins today at the MYO ground, Woolford Avenue, Thomas Lands, Georgetown, is sponsored by the Trophy Stall of Bourda Market and will feature 15 teams.
The teams will be vying for this year’s Trophy Stall trophy with defending champions, Enmore looking to successfully defend their title.

The teams participating in the competition in their respective zones are: Zone ‘A’ – Grove, Farm, Wales/Sisters Village, Enmore, LBI ‘A’, De Edward (Berbice), Mocha Arcadia and Diamond/Grove Masjid.

Zone ‘B’ – Bell West Canal # 2, Queenstown, Ogle, New Mosque, Lusignan, Corneila Ida and LBI ‘B’.

Today’s fixtures will see Enmore against Grove at 9am, Farm and Mocha Arcadia at 11am and Lusignan versus New Mosque at 1pm.
Tomorrow, Queenstown will challenge Bell West Canal # 2 at 10am while LBI ‘B’ will go up against Corneila Ida at 12pm.
