The showers started before the players arrived at Grove Park for the third day of the second round match, and continued until umpires Luther Kelly and Vincent Weekes decided to call it a day about an hour after lunch.
The covers were never removed at any stage of the day and the players did not even have the chance to step onto the park to do warm-up exercises.
CCC were set to start their second innings after Barbados took a first innings lead of 88.
Replying to CCC’s first innings total of 213, Barbados, helped by 74 from Kevin Stoute and 52 from Jason Haynes, made 301, despite a comeback from their opponents who grabbed the last five wickets for 42 runs.
Off-spinner Ryan Austin led the way for CCC by grabbing four for 87, while leg-spinner Gavin Wallace took three for 57.
Play will start half-hour earlier than scheduled on today’s final day.
CCC are early joint leaders along with Jamaica on 12 points, following a 151-run victory over Trinidad & Tobago in the opening round at Jarrett Park in Jamaica.
Barbados are fourth on three points, after they conceded first innings points in their drawn opening match against Leeward Islands in the first round at Kensington Park also in Jamaica.
