Former Windies coach Moore gets Bermuda post

HAMILTON, Bermuda, CMC – Former West Indies coach David Moore has been confirmed as head coach of the national cricket team, the Bermuda Cricket Board has announced.

Moore’s appointment had been widely expected after Trinidadian Gus Logie stepped down from the post last September, having guided Bermuda to their first World Cup appearance in 2007 when the tournament was staged in the Caribbean.

But Logie, a former West Indies Test player and coach, was hugely disappointed with the Bermuda team’s performance when they failed to qualify for next year’s World Cup to be held in Asia.
