Chanderpaul unmoved in batting rankings

The 35-year-old left-hander, the most experienced batsman in the current squad with 123 Tests, was still perched at number 11 in the rankings headed by Indian opener Virender Sehwag.

Chanderpaul, the only West Indies batsman in the top 20, last played a Test when West Indies clashed with Australia in the second match of the three-Test rubber last December.

Captain Chris Gayle is ranked 22nd with Ramnaresh Sarwan 29th, as the next two highest-ranked Windies batsmen.

The biggest mover in the rankings was Australian Michael Clarke who jumped four places to second following his 168 in the first Test against New Zealand in Wellington.

In the bowlers’ rankings, pacer Jerome Taylor also remained unmoved at 17th, with South African speedster Dale Steyn and England off-spinner Graeme Swann the two highest-ranked bowlers.
