Baptiste eyeing return to Ipswich

Baptiste spent six days on trial at the East England club last month and though he failed to get a game because of the terrible English weather, managed to impress manager Roy Keane.

“I went to a couple of their matches and some of the big boys at the club spoke to me and they called me the 52-goal man from T&T,” said the striker who was voted the T&T Pro League Player-of-the-Year.

“They said I should be out there for them because they’ve been struggling for goals this season. Who knows, maybe my chance will come as the club has sent a letter inviting me to return in pre-season.”

Baptiste, who scored 48 times for Joe Public as the local club captured five domestic titles, said he had been impressed with the club and was anxious to play for the outfit.

Ipswich is currently mid-table on 54 points after winning five of their last eight games.
