Guyana ranked 122 by FIFA

NEW YORK, United States, CMC – Powerhouses Jamaica fell one place but remained in control of the latest Caribbean Football Union (CFU) rankings released this week.

In the FIFA rankings, Jamaica dropped to 79th but still managed to hold on to top spot in the CFU, ahead of Haiti who jumped four places to remain in second place.

Jamaica’s archrival Trinidad and Tobago are still third despite moving up two places in the FIFA rankings while Antigua and Barbuda remained fourth after jumping one place overall.

T&T are 91st in the FIFA rankings while Antigua are 119th.

The Netherlands Antilles were the biggest movers rising five places to 157th in the FIFA rankings to go 12th in the regional football entity.

Grenada remained behind Guyana in sixth despite an impressive leap of four places in the FIFA listing to 124th, with Guyana rising two places to 122nd.

Brazil, meanwhile, ended Spain’s five-month hold on top spot in the overall FIFA rankings as they rose one place to depose the Europeans.
