GFF Super League continues

Following the postponement of a match  on Wednesday owing to rainfall, the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Super League Tournament is expected to continue today with the next successive round, good weather allowing. Keen and intense rivalry can be expected when the  explosive double header takes place at the GFC ground, Bourda, beginning at 18:00 hrs, with seventh place Sunburst Campton taking on Seawall FC, who currently reside at the bottom of the table.

With just six points to their credit, Camptown will be relying on Troy Prescod, Rishawn Sandiford, Lance Raulston and Devon Forde in pursuit of their third victory. Leading Seawall’s response are Tonie Lopes, Garlan Lewis, Adami Hoyte and Marvin Griffith to add to their three points.

The feature of the night will see a fierce match  between defending champions and unbeaten points leader Alpha United and eighth place holder Bakewell TopXX, commencing at 20:00 hrs.

Alpha United with 18 points from six matches are  expected to field a formidable lineup consisting of Anthony ‘Awo’ Abrams, Dwight Peters, Howard Lowe, Kelvin McKenzie and custodian Ronson Williams, in addition to  Jamaicans Oneke Ford and Troyon Williams.

Spearheading the response of TopXX are Charles Rose, Troy Nelson, Quacy Johnson, Michael Crandon, Trevor Watermon and Keron Cameron as the Lindeners seek to add to their three points.

Meanwhile, Wednesday’s postponed matches are still to be rescheduled to a date to be determined.
