The Guysuco Training Centre (GTC) volleyball team of Berbice advanced to the semi finals of the Aracari Beach Volleyball Classic when the four-a-side competition commenced last Saturday at the Aracari Resort, West Coast Demerara.
As easily as they got by two rivers to partake in the competition, the GTC squad got by their opponents.
On the opening day of the tournament GTC trounced Park All Star’s and their Berbice counterparts, Rollers.
GTC started the Group One matches with a convincing win over the Park All Star’s in the tournaments opening encounter winning the best of three contest 21-8, 21-10.
In the following game GTC remained unbeaten after they defeated Rollers 21-16, 21-16.
Rollers exited the tournament despite winning against Park All Stars 21-15, 21-18.
