The Guyana Football Federation will conduct a Women’s Football Com-Unity Seminar in Guyana at the Savannah Suite of the Pegasus Hotel from Tuesday.
The seminar, which ends on Friday, will be held with assistance from the Federation International de Football Association’s (FIFA) Development Office in Port of Spain, a release from the GFF stated.
The current status and potential of women’s football; Women’s football strategies and development; and grassroots development programmes; the impact of women’s football on social and educational development programmes; Women’s football and the media; the promotion and marketing of women’s football and the benefits for sponsors of women’s football are some of the topics on the agenda, the release stated.
Participants will be drawn from the government and non-government sectors, corporate Guyana, the media, and the GFF’s associations and affiliates.
The aim of the seminar is to sensitize football administrators to their roles and responsibilities and of the support structures necessary for the growth and development of Women’s football in Guyana, the release stated.
