Trinidad U-17 cricket team here on developmental tour

A Trinidad Under-17 cricket team arrived in Guyana yesterday for a developmental tour, Guyana Cricket Board Cricket Development Officer Reno King told Stabroek Sport yesterday.

The Trinidad team will oppose a Guyana U-17 team in a series of matches at several venues.

The Guyana team will be led by Shaquille Williams with Shaun Perreira as his deputy.

The team also includes national U-19 players Brian Sattaur, Ricardo Adams, and Herrel Greene along with Tagenarine Chanderpaul son of West Indies test player Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

According to the former West Indies speedster King, the two sides will engage each other in a three-day game, a two day game, a limited overs one-day fixture and a Twenty20 encounter. The tour begins tomorrow with the three day game at the Police Sports Club ground Eve Leary.

Chatterpaul Hemraj, Christopher Surat, Shailendra Shameer, Lloydel Lewis, Sunil Rupee, Kareem Naughton, Herrel Greene and Tagnarine  Chanderpaul.

The team will be managed by Elroy Stephney and coached by Adrian Amsterdam.
