The Guyana Association of Scrabble Players is hosting its Diwali scrabble tournament tomorrow at the GCC Ground at 10am.
Association president Moen Gafoor said most of the country’s top players are expected to participate including recently crowned junior scrabble champion Ashwant Satamand who will be making his debut at a senior scrabble competition.
Caribbean Scrabble Champion Frederick Collins, Ewart Adams, Orlando Michael, Leon Belony, Colin Chichester, Ulric Harris, Grace Hercules, Ruby Cummings and Carlton and Yvonne Murray are some of the other top players expected to participate in the event. Trophies will be awarded to the top performers.
To ensure a prompt start participants are expected to be at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the game.
