After spending twenty years overseas with a successful ten-year-old engineering and manufacturing company, Bob Ghamandi relocated his business to Guyana and at his first ever GuyExpo he says he hopes to make his business “a household name”.

Ghamandi and Sons located at Enmore, ECD has been in operation for nearly one year. Bob, an engineer for 19 years explained that his decision to bring his business back home from Florida was because he always wanted to “serve our Guyanese people”.

However the decision was made after careful research. Ghamandi said that he was satisfied with feedback he received from his surveys. In 2001, he started his business in Florida called Highvac Company.

His business he explained specialises in manufacturing speciality machined parts for the semiconductor, aerospace, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and other industries. Other services include welding, contract machining and reverse engineering. He added too that his company “manufactures one piece or a thousand pieces it don’t matter”. Bob assures that the parts his company makes come with a lifetime warranty if used properly.

Since being in Guyana “business is doing well” Bob said. The main aim for being at GuyExpo he says is to get exposure.
