Diamond sugar workers get severance

More than 300 former employees of the defunct Diamond Sugar Estate turned up to  uplift their severance benefits at the Diamond Secondary School  today as emotions ran high on “the ending of an era” of sugar cultivation on the East Bank of Demerara estate.

Barbados probing possible murder of woman

(Barbados Nation)  Police are investigating a possible murder. This follows the discovery of the partially decomposed body of missing woman Sharika Olivia Bishop which was discovered yesterday morning in a field at Thyme Bottom, Christ Church.
