OAS congratulates Ramotar

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, today congratulated the new President of Guyana, Donald Ramotar, who assumed office on Saturday after winning the November 28 general elections.

Ramotar lifts ban on Moseley

After being banned from the Office of the President (OP) and State House for in excess of three years by President Bharrat Jagdeo, President of the Guyana Press Association and Capitol News Reporter and Producer, Gordon Moseley told this newspaper that the ban was lifted by Guyana’s recently elected President, Donald Ramotar.

The elections result

The result of the general elections was announced by the Guyana Elections Commission on Thursday and saw PPP/C Presidential candidate Donald Ramotar being sworn in as president of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana on Saturday.
