Remanded over simple larceny

Richardo Dinzey was remanded by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton after he appeared before her on a simple larceny charge on Thursday.

It is alleged that on April 20 at Water Street, Georgetown, he stole one bottle of oil valued at $2440, property of William Fogarty’s Ltd. The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.

The 38-year-old was remanded to prison as the prosecution objected to bail on the grounds that he has no fixed place of abode and  he stayed at a night shelter.

The matter was adjourned until Wednesday.
