Carpenter denied bail over unlawful wounding of neighbour

A man was on Tuesday remanded to prison after he appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on a charge of unlawful wounding.

It is alleged that Albert Pierre of 11 Henry Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on Diana Bowen on March 16. Pierre, a carpenter, was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
