An unidentified man was this afternoon killed on the spot after a Mayor and City Council tractor ran over him on Water Street.
The driver of the vehicle fled seconds after the impact.
According to eyewitnesses the man was crossing the street that runs alongside Bounty when the tractor which was turning on the very street from Water Street collided with him.
Vendors in the area said that the driver usually drives in a reckless manner.
