Six charged over Stockfeeds heist

Five persons today appeared in court over a huge heist at Guyana Stockfeeds Limited last week and an arrest warrant has been issued for a sixth person.

A police release today said that Troy Greenidge, 23 years of Industrial Site Squatting Area, Ruimveldt; Adrian Greene called “Miguel Johnson” of Cato Street, Agricola; Hudley Sampson, 37 years of Friendship, EBD; Silvester Vanderhyden, 23 years of Remus Street, Agricola; Ulanda King, 33 years of Grove Public Road, EBD; and Delroy Cordis called “Dottie” of Grove, EBD were all charged with nine counts of robbery under arms committed on employees of Guyana Stockfeeds Limited.

An arrest warrant has been issued by the court for Cordis.

The other five defendants appeared today at the Providence Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Leslie Sobers and were remanded to prison for court on May 04, 2011.

Police said that the charges follow intense investigations into an armed robbery committed on the Guyana Stockfeeds Ltd. at Farm, EBD on Wednesday March 31, 2011.
