Sixth Stockfeeds robbery accused remanded

The sixth suspect in the $10M Guyana Stockfeeds Limited heist appeared at the Providence Magistrates’ Court on Friday on nine armed robbery charges and was remanded to prison.

Delroy Cordis, called ‘Dottie,’ appeared before Magistrate Leslie Sobers after he turned himself in accompanied by his attorney Nigel Hughes. Cordis had been charged in absentia and when his five alleged accomplices appeared before the Magistrate on Monday, an arrest warrant was issued for him.

On Monday, Troy Greenidge, 23, of Industrial Site Squatting Area, Ruimveldt; Adrian Greene, called “Miguel Johnson,” of Cato Street, Agricola, East Bank Demerara (EBD); Hudley Sampson, 37, of Friendship, EBD; Silvester Vanderhyden, 23, of Remus Street, Agricola, EBD; and Ulanda King, 33, of Grove Public Road, EBD were slapped with nine armed charges and appeared at court.

They were not required to plead to the indictable charges and were remanded to prison. The charges followed what police said were intense investigations into an armed robbery committed on the Guyana Stock-feeds Limited at Farm, EBD last week Wednesday. It is alleged that on that day at the location, the six accused robbed nine employees of more than $10 million.

They are expected to return to court on May 4.
