Superintendent John Jones, head of information for the corps, told Star Nieuws that the police almost arrested Gopi this week. The man was spotted but when police arrived he was already gone.

Gopi was born on January 26, 1978 in Guyana. He lived on the extended High Street at Lot 4. The two are believed to be leaders of a gang involved in several robberies. They are said to be armed and dangerous.

Star Nieuws said they were found recently in two houses in the Sister Project. After the burglary, they shot at police, who arrived on the spot, and fled. The gang is known to operate in several places simultaneously.
