A taxi driver died last night after a truck drove over the car he was driving.
Dead is Quincy Kellman of Lot 111 Plantation Belfield, East Coast Demerara. Reports are that around 11 pm Kellman was driving west along Mandela Avenue when the driver of GJJ 4896, who was travelling east along the same road, overtook a parked 4X4 truck, lost control of his vehicle and drove head on into Kelman’s car. The Oasis Taxi Driver, who was on duty at the time died instantly.
The driver is said to be in police custody, assisting with investigations.
