Police continue to probe alleged abduction of Yarowkabra teens

The missing teens at the Timehri Police Station less that one hour after relatives found them in an area behind the Cheddi Jagan International Airport. In this photo the teens look exhausted and according to relatives their faces are slightly swollen either from crying or the traumatic events they had endured in the days leading up to their release. They are also soaked as when they were found it was raining.

Police officials said they will continue to investigate the alleged abduction of the two Yarowkabra teens and are hunting for the four masked men, who reportedly snatched the girls last Tuesday, kept them at an unknown location and freed them on Friday night.

Alliance For Change member Michael Carrington who is the father of one of the girls said that until there is evidence otherwise, he believes the girls’ explanation especially since they are sticking to it.
