Volunteer Youth Corps (VYC) is hosting Peace Fest 2K11 at the National Park on Saturday, July 9 featuring some of Guyana’s best performers.
In a press release VYC said Chow Pow, Lisa Punch, Jackie Hanover, the Classique Dancers, All Steppers Dance Group and Dance Fanatics are set to perform at the concert set for 4pm. Patrons can also expect to enjoy entertainment provided by a live band and Fusion International Sound System.
VYC said these artistes and its actors and dancers will use music and drama to promote messages and peace and goodwill. VYC members will also be distributing peace bands and bandanas and CDs at the show. Tickets costs $3000 and are on sale at Ashmins.
VYC said the concert has been sponsored by Ansa McAl Trading Limited, Tony’s Auto Spares, Sheriff Taxi Service, Ainlim, Nigel’s Supermarket, Oasis Taxi, Best Buy, HJTV, ARK Enterprises and NCN.
