CARICOM, EU ink pacts for Jamaica, climate change funds

CARICOM Heads of Government and the European Union (EU) agreed to give Jamaica budget support and provide funds for the region’s climate change agenda at a special session of the 32nd Regular Meeting of the Heads of Government on Sunday in St Kitts and Nevis. During a meeting with EU Commissioner for Develop-ment Andris Piebalgs, agreements were signed for the disbursement of budget support to Jamaica and for a 7.9 million Euro programme to support the region’s Climate Change Agenda.
