Police seek help to ID body found at Hogg Island

Police are seeking the help of the public in identifying the decomposing body of a man found at a koker, at Northern Hogg Island, Essequibo, on Monday.

According to a press release, the man, who is of East Indian descent, appeared to be in his mid-30s, brown in complexion, about 5 feet 7 inches in height and was clad in a blue jersey and a pair of blue ¾ denim pants. The body is at the Ezekiel Funeral Home, Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara.

Anyone with information that may lead to the identification of the deceased is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 774-5022, 771-4010, 771-4012, 771-5004, 911 or at the nearest police station.
