‘Great book sale of 2011’

The Georgetown Reading and Research Centre (GR&RC) hopes to provide the reading public with 100,000 titles in its `Great Book Sale of 2011’ which gets underway on Wednesday, July 20.

A release from the GR&RC said that in order to achieve this objective, the entire inventory will be on sale. At its main location, Bookland on Woolford Avenue and Albert Street, the entire inventory will be on sale at 50% to 95% off the regular price. At its annex at Lot 19, Gordon Street, Kitty books will be available at 60% to 95% off the regular price. The sale starts at 9 am and will be conducted from Sunday to Sunday and will continue until the objective is achieved.

Head of the centre Rupert Hopkinson said that with the theme `Development is simple – just read’, the sale will have a section labelled `Pay what you can’ where costumers can simply make an offer of a contribution and have a book. There will also be free books with purchases.
