Two accused of cocaine, ganja trafficking in North West

Two men, accused of trafficking a quantity of cocaine and cannabis at the Five Star Backdam North West District (NWD), were yesterday remanded to prison by Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton.

The allegation against Miquel Hutson and Patrick Bailey is that on July 18, at the Five Star Backdam, NWD, they had in their possession 105 grammes of cocaine and 1,350 grammes of cannabis, for the purpose of trafficking.

Hutson and Bailey, who were jointly charged, denied the charges when they were read to them at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
