As the campaign for the 2011 general elections heats up, a group called Youths for the PPP is to hold a youth expo on August 11 which will also feature a mega concert and appearances by cricketers.
In an advertisement in today’s Stabroek News, the group said that admission to the event at the Guyana International Conference Centre, Liliendaal is free.
It urged youths to get registered and said that the expo will feature opportunities for youth employment, political activism and ICT advancement.
The cultural show will feature Benjai out of Trinidad, Timeka Marshall, Jory and Mahendra Ramkellawan among others.
The ad says there will be special appearances by Jamzone master cricketers including Ramnaresh Sarwan, Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo. The Jamzone pageant contestants are also expected to be there.
