A small morning blaze left an apartment partially damaged after neighbours noticed thick smoke escaping through the window of a bedroom and formed a bucket brigade, managing to contain the fire until the Fire Service arrived on the scene.
The range house, located at Lot 5 Cocorite Street, East La Penitence, was saved by the quick response of close-by residents who notified Lorryne Green, an occupant of the apartment.
